One day a young man came to the Fojadelli domaine and enthusiastically described his dream to buy Valpane and pursue his passion for winegrowing. The elderly Fojadelli refused at first, but a housekeeper saw the young man’s desolation and convinced the owner to give him a chance. After his passion and dedication finally earned the Fojadelli family’s confidence, Pietro Giuseppe Arditi finally purchased the vineyard in 1902. As for the wine, a dark garnet robe leads to a deep, earthy fruit nose and palate loaded with bright, spicy Barbera fruit and smooth tannins, followed by a deliciously-perfumed finish.
